Lectures

The lectures will take place in the University of Barcelona Physics Faculty. The full address is Carrer de Martí i Franquès, 1-11, 08028 Barcelona, Spain. For further information about the Physics Faculty, please refer to their website.

Museum visit

A visit to the underground archaeological site at Plaça del Rei, part of Museu d’Història de Barcelona (MUHBA), offering a unique walk through Roman, Visigothic, and medieval Barcelona. Tuesday 16th June, the summer school has arranged a 2-hour guided tour in three groups of approximately 12 participants. The tour is fully covered by the summer school, and participants will be assigned to groups in advance.

Tour schedule: Group 1: 16:00; Group 2: 16:30; Group 3: 17:00.

Social dinner

A social dinner and a closing dinner are included in the registration fee. Pre-set menus with diverse options will be arranged, and drinks are included.

The social dinner will take place Tuesday 16th June at 20:00 in the restaurant Fabrica Moritz Barcelona, located at Ronda de Sant Antoni, 41, 08011 Barcelona.

Closing dinner

The closing dinner will take place on Thursday 18th June at 19:30 in the restaurant Buenissimo, located at Carrer d’En Bot, 4, Ciutat Vella, 08002 Barcelona.

Transportation

The University of Barcelona Physics Faculty is right by the metro stop Palau Reial (green line L3). More information on Barcelona’s bus and metro system is available on the TMB website.

Accommodation

As the venues can be easily reached by a short metro or bus ride from anywhere in the city, there is no strict need to find accommodation near them. Barcelona offers a variety of accommodation options depending on individual needs. If you consented to sharing your email with other participants to coordinate joint accommodations, you will receive an email about this.

Accessibility

The Physics Faculty is wheelchair accessible. The faculty building’s entrance doors can be reached via street level or ramps, but they do not have a function for automatically opening the doors.

The metro stop Palau Reial is wheelchair accessible. A map of all the accessible stations in the Barcelona metro is available.
